On the first episode of talking with Ontario farmers, I’m joined by Philip Shaw, a field crop farmer from Dresden, Ontario. We discuss why he was lured to the University of Guelph to study agricultural economics, farming in the 1980’s, his approach to grain marketing, his favourite tractor, why he probably won’t grow the latest herbicide tolerant soybean crop, what his “farming mulligan” would be and much more.
