Corn is widely grown across southern Ontario. Over the years 2015-2024, grain corn acreage averaged 856,000 ha (2.1 million acres) with an average yield of 10.56 t/ha (168 bu/acre). An additional 103,000 ha (0.3 million acres) is grown as corn silage for livestock feed. Grain corn produced within the province is used for both feed (55%) and industrial (45%) uses.
