Variable Rate Corn – As-Applied Map: Red is 30, 000 seeds / acre, yellow is 34, 000 seeds / acre, and green is 38, 000 seeds / acre.
Corn Trials – uniform seeding rate across 3 yield zones (low / medium / high). Split planter achieves 4 uniform rates in two passes: Pass 1: 30, 000 and 34, 000 seeds / acre and Pass 2: 30, 000 and 38, 000 seeds / acre.
A map of southern Ontario depicting the levels of vomitoxin (DON, PPM) found in 171 grain corn samples collected from September 18 to 25, 2012.
A close up of corn injury caused by 8 times the labelled rate of Liberty (glufosinate) applied to Liberty Link corn
Crop injury as a result of Liberty (glufosinate) applied at 8 times the labelled rate.
Liberty (glufosinate) injury in Liberty Link corn when applied at 8 times the labelled rate. Understandably, there is crop injury
Severe leaf distortion caused by an application of flumioxazin just prior to corn emergence.
A stunted uneven corn stand caused by flumioxazin being applied post planting and shortly before crop emergence.
A by-product of leaf burn caused by saflufenacil, is that the new growth gets “caught up” in the necrotic leaf tissue causing distorted growth.
Retarded growth caused by a post emergent application of Integrity at the 2-3 leaf stage. The saflufenacil portion had burned off the emerged leaves, but since the growing point was below the ground, the corn was able to regrow.
Leaf injury caused by a post emerge tank-mix contamination of chlorimuron + flumioxazin + glyphosate (Guardian Plus)
A wide shot of Guardian Plus injury caused by tank contamination (10% of labelled rate).
Injury caused by a post emergent application of isoxaflutole/atrazine without the crop safener
Injury caused by an overlap rate of Converge XT that includes the safener (cyprosulfamide)
Injury caused by an overlap rate of isoxaflutole/atrazine applied post emergent with a crop safener compared to without a crop safener (right)
